Color is spread, mixing on the canvas, juxtaposed in primarily top to bottom sweeps. Transitions between color are of varying roughness and continuity. Sometimes color is scraped and a sweep or set of sweeps is reapplied (rewritten). Sharp color juxtaposition creates the optical effect of colors seeming to float on or next to each other in slightly different planes.
